Blending archival research and on-site investigation, Allegra Hangen unearths a narrative of 20th Century cultural imperialism in Mexico City’s urban landscape. She recounts a US initiative by President Kennedy to construct public housing throughout Mexico City that enforced US values through modernist arquitecture by synthesizing primary source materials and interpretive collages.
