50x50x20 cm Strata Structure functions as a geological and archaeological cross-section of the underground systems that contain, extract, and redirect water in Mexico City. 

The sculpture consists of a cylindrical glass-fiber reinforced concrete base that emulates the stratigraphic layers of the earth, topped by an openwork aluminum plate that reinterprets the grates and manhole covers of public infrastructure. 

By integrating circulating water through an internal pumping system, the piece activates the sensory experience of the architectural space, making visible and audible the pulse of the hidden flows that sustain and run through the megalopolis.
